You can visit Harvard or MIT and use books there but you may not check them out. Your best option is to borrow from MIT or Harvard via Interlibrary loan. Interlibrary loan is a free service we provide to students, faculty, and staff of Wentworth Institute of Technology. Sometimes our librarians find the book you want from another library so make sure you have the title, author, publisher, and ISBN number if possible when you make your request.
Find a book in any other library catalog and then go to the Alumni Library website and click on the "Borrowing" tab. You will see a link to the Interlibrary loan borrowing forms for books and articles. Enter your contact information and the citation information (title, author, etc) of the books you would like to borrow. The books take about a week to arrive at the Alumni Library. When they arrive we will send you an email and you can pick up the materials at the circulation desk. When the books are due simply return them to us and we will ship them back to the library they came from.
