UniFormat numbers may be found in the RS Means Assemblies Cost Data book. At the top of each section, you will see an alphanumeric code in bold lettering. The A Level numbers describe substructures, and A1030 refers to a slab-on-grade floor, for instance. B Level numbers refer to various assemblies that make up a shell (superstructure), and so forth.
